how do i get the windowed mode to work

Well dont think it is directly in the client. I dont know if this server has a separate client for windowed mode (i have seen it in other servers). Try Shift+Enter, might work

no then what is the thing if u download the client what is the DXwnd??

Try that...

Go into your DXwnd file, then click on the middle icon inside of it. Click Run, and a small window should pop up. Hit: Edit>Add>Switch it to directX8>'...'[inside of ..., click on the file you want]>OK>Click on the file you just added
