Game Error: Reinstalling MS Guide

Hello again I felt like making a guide, maybe this will help everyone understand how to fix the big errors when trying to run MapleStory. If you don't understand after reading this you either didn't pay attention, don't want to know how to fix your error, or you are just...I don't know how to put this last one nicely so let's move on shall we.




1.) Download MapleStory:

Scroll down and find the 'Downloads' section of this guide. Click on one of the links to download the MapleStory Setup.exe and wait for it to finish. If you are wondering why it is taking so long there are many possible reasons why it is slow. You may have a very bad computer or slow computer. Maybe your internet connection isn't doing so well (make sure your router is protected or anyone can connect to your router by a wireless computer and slow your internet connection[s]). Or the source your download is from sucks and all of their downloads are slow. Depending on your computer this download could take about 5 minutes - 8 hours.




2.) Run the setup:

After you have downloaded the setup for MapleStory you need to run it by clicking on it, obviously. Wait for it to extract, it may take some time so wait.




3.) The 'Next' step:

Click next when this pops up:




4.) Select your option:

Click on 'Remove' and click next to begin removing all the MapleStory v55 files from your Nexon folder. Make sure you save any private server exe's before removing the game. This does not work the same way as deleting the files by hand from your Nexon folder, it will create the black screen error.




5.) Remove:

Click the 'Remove' button and let it finish, after it is done you should just have to click 'Finish.' After it is complete and closed, run the MapleStory version 55 setup again.

This should show up after you run it and the files where completely removed. Click next when you see this:




2.) License Agreement:

Read the License Agreement if you want and then click on 'I accept the terms in the license agreement.' Now click next to continue.




3.) Installation Path:

Click next to have version 55 become the folder Maplestory inside the Nexon folder.




But what if there already is a Maplestory folder because you installed the newest version of Maplestory? Well then you can click on the 'Change' button before clicking next, and change the name of Maplestory in the highlighted text that says: "C:\Nexon\Maplestory\" and make it say something like this: "C:\Nexon\Maplestory2\" or anything else you want. Then click ok and then click 'Next.'




4.) Install:

After that click the 'Install' button to begin your installation.




Wait for it to complete and when it is done you will click 'Next' and then 'Finish.'




5.) You're Done!:

Finally :D yay! Now you can put in the private server exe's you want into your version 55 folder.

I've tested this and have showed this method to 7 people who have had 100% success using it. Thank you for reading and if any other problems occur post them here <3!

So, I did this.. everything was fine.
Then I put the exe's into my new maplestory folder.
I tried to go in with the new, regular maplestory which I made an icon for (which was in my new maplestory folder)...
I got in, but it was like the regular ms. I tried going in using the DXwnd,
but I got the same outcome. After, I tried going in with the [NO DC] maplestory
in my new file.. but it just said that it was going through a server check, and
this happens each time. I put down my firewall, and I've tried more than once.

I'm either stupid, missing somthing, or somthing is wrong.
Help?

My also says that it cannot connect. Help soon would be appreciated.

So your supposed to go into the server through the AngerFistMs[NO DC]?
Orrrr do you go through normally in just Maplestory in this new file?

Yeah, I also tried re-installing the client... didn't work either.

... oh... my gawd... this guide... IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN DUDEMAN'S! his does not help at all... he just insults dumb people... (Download new exe is all you have to do comon guys) *well what if we have to DO something* (WELL then i gusse you don't have Maple Story v.55!
